Young Adults
if you’ve got any questions about how this all works - please contact our Young Adults Pastor, Joe Wee.
Our Young Adults ministry is the last part of our “vertical pathway” and while we’re aiming to use this key period in life to help people think about how they become servant hearted partners in our mission of making Jesus known in our city and our world, our goal is to help those who have been youth, and kids, in our church family, or anyone who decides to follow Jesus in this really important phase of life, to make a smooth transition into maturity and adulthood.
This means that Growth Groups play a huge part in what we do as Young Adults. Our Young Adults groups meet on a Tuesday night at Creek Road. Our Growth Groups are a mix of different people from different backgrounds, and they meet to go through the same Growth Group material as our other groups – discussing the big idea from our Sunday Services.
We all meet in the same place at the same time, so before we kick off our growth groups we mingle for a while, to catch up on what’s going on in our lives, then we’ll sing a few songs together. The vibe is pretty casual. After that we split into our Growth Groups, meet for an hour or so, then we spend some time praying together in smaller groups.
Our Young Adults group does something as one big group about once a month – these “all in” events include socials, special teaching nights where we’ll cover a topic that’s relevant to our stage of life, and often will include getting together to do some sort of act of service.
If you’re interested in being part of our Young Adults ministry the first step is to join us at church on a Sunday – most of us go to the afternoon or evening services, though you’ll find young adults at each of the morning services too, then come along to a Connect Course so you can be placed in a Growth Group.
